Barça to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
