Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
