The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut
The rising star boasts impressive online audience
The young golfer can count on numerous well-known supporters when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, relax, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation exposes the sport to new audiences, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
